I have moved into my own apartment, right in the center of town. It’s quiet and within walking distance of everywhere, except Wal-mart…ha! ha!
It has one bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen and entrance room—quite big for me who is used to living in one room!! I keep losing stuff in the rooms. It is very Mexican…I would use the words ‘quaint and funky’. The kitchen has a very fancy stove, which for those who know me is a total waste. We shall see.
I have had a few problems, but so far the landlord has fixed any issues in a timely fashion.
Enjoy the photos!
Take care everyone
P.S. Oh, on the 22nd of September I am flying to LA on a cheap flight to get the one-shot J & J vaccine, so together with my Sinovac vaccine I should be covered. They are giving free shots at the airport. Another adventure of a kind!
P.P.S. A big shout-out and thank you to my friends here; they have been amazing: my friend Pam, who put me up in her beautiful home for close to two weeks; my friend Claire who found this place: and everyone else for all the kind offers.
THANK YOU ALL!

Your new digs look so cozy Betty. Glad to hear you have settled in.

Hi Betty,
You have done very nicely. I love the house, perfect for you and the garden is a place to meditate and enjoy.
On the 25 of this month I fly to North Carolina to spend a week with my daughter and my son (flying up from Guadalajara). It will be a change from my Florida ocean life to the mountains of North Carolina. Please keep posting as I am following your blog and enjoying your adventure. I’m going to try to send a photo of myself at Namaste sitting on the rooftop…hope it goes through.
