First, and most importantly, HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND ALL THE VERY BEST FOR 2026!
Sorry for the length of time between blogs; life seems to take over.
Day of the Revolution is a very big holiday here. It lasts well over a week with parades and firecrackers at all hours of the day and night. Another holiday is Day of the Dead (Dios de los Muertes) , which I feel is the best holiday ever! Mexicans honour their Dead in many special ways, such as building altars where they place pictures and even food prefered by their deceased loved ones. Lots of masks and beautiful costumes, and many wear special makeup.
Silly me went riding with a friend Bob on his Harley motorcycle for about four hours. We had a great time, but boy did I hurt for a while after! Quite the adventure! At nearly 83, I shouldn’t do it.
I also went to a beach about four hours away for a few days. Pretty. Very small town. Full of Canadians! Saw some old friends and met a new friend from Hawaii. Traveled in a bus which even showed English movies …very fancy indeed.
I am writing this sitting in a movie theatre waiting for the film WICKED to start. There’s a special price on Wednesday: 25 pesos, which is 1.90 Canadian dollars.
Have a wonderful holiday season! Stay well and happy 😊
Love
Betty

Betty, all best wises for the holidays in whichever religion you are in these days. I would have thought you would have learnt to avoid Harleys some years ago, but better late than never!
Cheers, eh!
