LAST BLOG TWO MONTHS AGO …TIME FLIES!

It has been a very busy two months—both positive and negative—but that seems to be life right now!

As far as the house project, that just won’t work in terms of finding ONE buyer, and the more thought I gave to my wise woman concept, it would probably get me into a lot of trouble developing and finding the right women to play this role.

Believe it or not, I have to move again by the end of December! Alison, the owner of the house, wants to rent the whole house and feels that having a tenant will impact that happening. So, I am on the hunt again. Will keep you posted on how it’s going. I really don’t want to sign any more leases, so I would love to find a shared situation, with my own bedroom and bathroom. A shared kitchen would be perfect for me, or even performing the role of property/house manager, which I would also enjoy. I have included below a copy of the notice I have posted in the newspaper here. As I have said, living on a Canadian pension isn’t easy here. Prices have increased, just like the rest of the world, but still much more reasonable in Mexico.

I got my Mexican Permanent Visa, which is a great help in terms of free health care, etc. I also received my new Canadian passport, which arrived in three weeks from Mexico City (very fast). I am finding a lot of sickness here (not me; I am good) and people seem to be having problems with everyday life and making decisions … life is moving so quickly.

In other news…

Don’t miss the movie The Odyssey… it is remarkable! I went on a spiritual journey with that movie; I even went twice!

In Ajijic there is a young, very ultra orthodox Jewish rabbi and his family. Another rabbi who is a friend and lives at Namaste invited me a number of months ago.Every so often I go on a Friday night for services and Shabbat dinner in their home. I don’t think the rabbi recognizes my conversion to Judaism and reform, but it can be a very interesting evening…

I still visit my 93-year-old friend Anne in the nursing home. We enjoy together very deep conversations about life.

Not so big a gap until the next blog…promise!
Take care everyone.
