I must apologize again. Far too long between blogs… life just gets in the way.
Well, I moved to that lovely home in San Antonio, that is the home I told you about in my last blog. I am now about 3 miles from where I was in Ajijic. San Antonio is a very different kind of town: so quiet both in the day and at night. Lots of good shops, markets and restaurants.
I hope to be able to save money and start to live on my Canadian pension… we shall see. I am buying food now, have a large fridge and even an air fryer. Just have to learn how to use it.
I am getting used to a whole different lifestyle. Less people close by so I need to travel to visit friends, but that is just fine.
I met a friend from Hawaii in Guadalajara for a few days. He is an adventurer who lives on the Big Island in—I think—quite an isolated part. He is checking out retirement possibilities.
There were good restaurants, etc… but I fell on the floor so I was a little sore. I made an appointment with a fellow back in Ajijic for something they call ‘Bowen Therapy’. It was excellent; it fixed me right up away.
I also received my Permanent Residence card for Mexico. I am very pleased about that. The weather is just beautiful: warm, sunny, and in the high 70s to low 80s.
Next week is another birthday: 83… yikes! I never thought I would get this far and still be healthy.
Take care everyone! Enjoy spring after that brutal winter you had.
Betty
