UPDATE ON MY LIFE IN AJIJIC!

I haven’t done a blog in a while. My life is very busy here: lots of social stuff, meals, parties, etc.

I am now doing volunteer work with The Lake Chapala Society, acting as a greeter once a week and also helping to train the new Fundraising staff member. The Society holds all types of classes, such as Spanish and Pottery, plus offers wonderful entertainment and cultural events.

My friendships are very numerous, some in Namaste and some in the community. I have a very good Mexican friend, Luna, who is beautiful lady in her 50’s and—believe it or not—is going into a body-building competition in Guadalajara later this month. She trains many hours during the day, and her body has become toned beyond belief. I am very proud of her.

Our oldest lady at Namaste, who is named Anne, is 90. I just planned her party with 50 people for dinner, a band, a singer, and her favorite movie, the original Auntie Mame with Rosalind Russell. It was quite the evening , and she loved it.

I have no interest in travelling, which is so weird. Maybe India…not sure. My relationship with the BK’s still continues with a wonderful sister in Mexico named Anabelli. She will come here in January I hope for a couple of weeks.

Of course, I go to the movies: Barbie, Oppenheimer (which I saw twice). Just brilliant. And yesterday I saw Sound of Freedom, which was tough but excellent.

I am happy and feeling very fortunate to have such a full life at my tender age.
